STAR COURT. the bright and shining new attractions in Hawkins. drawing the attention of anyone and everyone that didn't own a small business within the town limits. including one Eddie Munson. with promises of a record store like no one had seen before. comics and movies to boot ! who wouldn't spend hours on end wandering around the sprawling tile and blinding florescent lights?for the most part Eddie was hardly just wandering. a part time job had to be obtained to keep things afloat. easing the burden on Wayne and allowing him to take a day or two off if he felt as though it was needed. Eddie didn't much mind. a healthy mix of legal and illegal work seemed to suit him just fine. even brought in more customers where both were concerned. spending his free days in search of the perfect new record. new comic. determined to see whatever new movie that piqued his interest.meeting a gaggle of rowdy teens who seemed determined to turn him grey before he saw twenty had never been in the plan. yet, he found himself in the middle of off handed discussions of every nerd trope that could be thrown in his direction. if anyone were to ask, Eddie has no idea how he came to be tangled up with the self proclaimed half a party.for Eddie; the summer was particularly mundane and boring. outside being a surrogate taxi when Harrington was busy, Eddie would say that it was a normal teenage summer.until it wasn't.the Fourth of July arrives and the festivities are well underway. the fireworks come and go and Eddie is enjoying his night with a few of his friends well into the early hours. sitting in the divers seat of the van once more, Eddie is distracted by the strange orange glow that sits along the horizon across town. as unlikely as it was, Eddie wasn't entirely sure just what time it was anymore. interest wavered in the strange glow as he headed home — at least until more emergency vehicles than he was sure Hawkins' employed raced past him. curiosity piqued once more Eddie veers off course and follows after the lights and sirens.to say that Eddie is shocked to find the mall half demolished and clearly on fire was a vast understatement. in fact, he spends entirely too long staring at the wreckage before him before spotting an all too familiar uniform. there was no way. what the hell were they doing here this late at night? slipping from the van, emergency workers are too busy doing their jobs to notice him sneak through the chaos. confusion mounts until he's almost unable to bare it as he spots all of the kids, Steve, Robin, Nancy and Jonathan all being tended to by EMS.

Its gonna be his year! Though it's not going well as of right now. He really needed the marks to pass ONE class. One god damn class that was holding him back from walking across the stage, giving principle Higgins the middle finger and getting the hell out of Hawkins. Or at least trying to because suddenly there was entirely too much to stick around for now. Even if the ones that he's thinking about sticking around for want him to postpone the finale of their game. And as far as Dustin and Mike are concerned, there's no way in hell that he's going to do that. However, while Mike and Dustin are running around trying to find a replacement for Lucas, Eddie is working out a time and place for them to finish the game over break. It wasn't as though any of them were going anywhere.In the mean time, Eddie runs into Chrissy who comes with a desperate plea for something stronger than weed. It's not hard to see that the girl is struggling with something deeper than just dating Jason Carver. It doesn't take much convincing to get him to agree. Though like everything else, Eddie is playing by his own rules. It take a little more convincing afterwards to get Steve to agree to help him in the long run. That night, the boys show up with Erica in tow ready to finish out the game, only to be herded back out of the drama room and towards the gym, complaints and all.After the win, Eddie thoroughly encourages Lucas to go to the party. As much as he doesn't understand the allure of sports, he does understand the right to celebrate and have a good time. After dropping the kids off and making it to the trailer park, Eddie is almost thankful that Steve is a few minutes behind them. Distracting Chrissy with a drink and promising that they have a few hours before anyone would miss them.It starts as a mundane argument between himself and Steve about the music to put on. All empty threats and razzing. Steve wins out, but only because Eddie is distracted by Chrissy standing motionless in the middle of the room. Eyes glazed and posture ridged. The jarring sound of some pop song filling the trailer while he and Steve tried desperately to snap her out of whatever the hell was happening to her. It's when she starts to rise of the floor that panic really sets in for Eddie. that gives into sheer terror when one of her arms snap like some unseen force had twisted it. and then the other cracks and bends at horrible angles.but then it just seems to stop. Chrissy's body twitching and vibrating in the air before she hits the floor hard. It doesn't take a long time to come up with a plan. Steve takes Chrissy to the hospital two towns over, while Eddie goes to Rick's to lay low until they can figure out what's going on. A promise of more answers to come.Before heading to Rick's Eddie makes the decision to leave a note for his uncle. There's not much to the note. Just that he'd be gone for a while and not to try to find him. Eddie knows that it will worry his uncle more, but it was better than just disappearing.It takes hours for Steve to show up with entirely too many people in tow. Learning from Dustin that he and Chrissy had been labelled run aways. That the cops looking for Chrissy mostly. Unsurprisingly. With the death of Fred. and then the death of Patrick in the lake while he and Jason had been trying to get to Eddie. It took a little bit of the pressure of Eddie in the long run as it put Jason in the spot light. Making some people question if Jason had had anything to do with the deaths. Many noting that Jason could have done something to Eddie and Chrissy and then Fred for looking too deeply, and of course Patrick for questioning him. None of which Eddie would ever deny if things went right and he saw the other side of this.Only it starts to look less likely that he will. Ending up in the Upside Down and fighting off demon bats with a broken oar after following Steve into Lover's lake was not what he expected. Nor was a repeat visit less than a day later covered in leather, equipped with a knife tied to a stick and a garbage can lid with nails something that he'd considered.A distraction is all that he's meant to be. And it was all that he was planning on being. At least that was until everyone's lives were in danger. Until Dustin's life was in danger. And then he had a choice to make. he could continue to run like he had for the last week. Or he could make a stand and hope that he came out on the other side. But he would never see the other side. The bats swam heavy and fast, taking him to the ground with little to no effort. Leaving him bleeding out in some grotesque abomination of his home town with Dustin sobbing over him pleading with him to hold on, promising that he would get him out of here. But there would no getting him out of there. Only a plea of his own to apologize to the others before the darkness takes over.Eddie Munson was gone.

  Season 4   Eddie is once again trying to graduate and it going... well about as well as it had the other times that he'd tried. But this time it's his last chance. This verse will be the catch all for now unless it's plotted otherwise. Can be pre going into hiding or post depending on the muse.  Season 5   After 'dying' in the Upside Down, Eddie wakes up an indeterminate time late. Alone and unsure if he is being hunted or not Eddie goes back to the Wheeler house in hopes of contacting the party. When that doesn't work, he bides his time going between all of the party's houses for the same reason. It's not long before he's cornered by a Demogorgon.. and that is when he learns that he might not be so human anymore after all.  Alternate   Pre season 5. Instead of dying in the Upside Down, Eddie is rescued by Dean Winchester who he'd befriended before ending up on the run from Jason and his goons. Once back on the right side, Eddie realizes that he can't stay in Hawkins and leaves with Dean. Picking up quickly on Dean's own brand of weird. It takes even less time to figure out that the supernatural had always been a part of his life. That his father hadn't killed his mother as he'd always thought but a hunter who'd made her as the witch that she was.
